Well I’m closing in on retirement and with all of the drilling shutting down thought my hand might be forced. And then we signed a 3 year contract with BP and they signed me up as lead engineer. Exploratory wells right now and then an 8 well developmental segment. New office is a Diamond drill ship. Schedule is 28/28 which gives me plenty of time for the important things in life. Cheers!10793

Thanks, Dale. We’ve talked about retirement and I’m pretty sure a guy can get good and bored in a hurry. Work 4 weeks and have 4 weeks off is right up my alley. The pay is embarrassing so I’ll roll a little longer.

It is cool. Starbucks coffee grinder in the break room and you can’t argue with 4 meals a day. Fishing rods are supplied and the galley crew will clean and filet anything worth keeping. Tough duty!

Thanks, Snapper! This will be a real nice way to ease into getting retired. The whole operation is extremely safe, the only part I don’t care for is the helicopter, 75 minutes to and from. However, we fly in the Sikorsky S96 which is the same helicopter the President flys in. Good enough for him I guess it’s good enough for me.
