Stumbled upon the attached little " Souvenier Bucket " in a box of junk in my basement this morning. Apparently purchased during 1876 in Philadelphia by a distant relative at a celebration commemorating the 100th year of USA being founded.While not related to knives, my astonishment still begs comment: How can a 135 year-old trinket be readily here at my fingertips, while, since last night, my car keys have vanished from the face of the planet !! Cool indeed. I've wanted a heirloom I could take on the antique roadshow. Just to listen to the so-called experts run and google the item and come back to explain it's history. Seeing how you still have the lid too that may bring the price up. Plus their estimates are so vague, at auction this item could bring anywhere from $100 to 10,000 dollars. When I'm channel surfing, I still stop and watch it every time I come across it. laugh3 ILK
