Thanks for the vote of confidence, Jay. This would make the perfect knife for a Pirate to clench between his half-rotten, rum-soaked gums while boarding an enemy ship to piliage and plunder. I wanted this low-number Variant 1 to pair-up with the Variant 2 Proto I already have. Plus, I couldn't resist the relatively cheap, sign - of - the - times, price. The $220 I am paying for this knife is 70 dollars less than what I paid for the first one, 7 years ago -- And I don't believe that cost was overly extravagant at the time.
