I was fortunate enough to score these 3 awesome Dick Gillenwater knives from a good friend at our NCCA knife show. I was walking past his Table and they caught my eye. At first I thought they were George Herron knives. Turns out Dick and George and another Gentleman Johnny Johnson Used to all work together until George moved out of SC.
Anyway, They are all Beauties. All have Ivory handles and I have original signed sheaths with each knife. I hope you enjoy the Pictures. Thanks for looking at my thread, Stabber

Three things come to mind:

1. I can never ever make fun of your pics again. Haven't seen one of the "old" Stabberized pics in a dog's age. (For our newer members, there was a time when Stabber's pics were so bad, we referred to a bad pic as Stabberized over at JD). You have some serious skills with your camera these days for sure. High polished blades are the most difficult to shoot.

2. You certainly have a keen taste for fine cutlery as well. Very impressive trio.

3. How long is the smaller of the three knives?...Al

Stabber those are a sweet batch of blades you scored. Wow. The drop point hunter looks a lot like a (commercial) version I got as a bday gift from my father when I was 15...we used to go the NCCA spring show in E.Windsor, CT every year in the 80's and early 90's. Good memories! Those two fighters are sweet too, that large piece has to be a 6-7 in blade!?! What kind of steel was used, do you know?

Great pix that show some of the newer collectors (who are presumably into mostly autos) the diversity found in the wide world of knife collecting.
